The H1-B visa program makes U.S. tech firms more competitive because it enables them to choose the best possible job candidates from around the globe, according to Mohamad Ali, president and CEO of Carbonite. 

“America was really built on this incredible combination of domestic talent and immigrant talent,” said Ali, who was the featured guest on a recent Bloomberg Markets podcast. “Over 50% of Fortune 500 companies in Massachusetts were started by immigrants or children of immigrants.”
